Using Sand Trays and Objects

Presented by Joy Oakley

13th March 2010

Working creatively in counselling using sand trays and objects will be a very hands on experience, so that participants can get a good idea of how they can use objects and sand tray work in depth with their clients. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to work with sand trays and a wide assortment of objects. You can create and explore your own 'world' as a path to learning how to use this unique creative method with clients - whether they are adults, adolescents, children or supervisees. You can even use this on yoursel

The workshop will cover -

  • What is Sand Tray Work?

  • How did it originate?

  • What is its purpose?

  • What objects do we use?

  • How can we use it effectively?

  • Using Sand Trays with children and adults.

  • Various settings in which Sand Trays might be used.
