Personality Disorders
Facilitated by Dr Ruth Rushton
18th July 2009
Personality Disorders - Issues Inside and Outside Therapy
This workshop is suitable for people who are open to exploring and expanding
their theoretical knowledge and understanding of personality disorders. The day
will cover conceptualisations of personality disorder (including DSM IV) and
consider theoretical and practical issues in working with clients (e.g.
comorbidity, etiology). There will be a strong emphasis on allowing
participants to explore their experience of personality disorder within and
beyond the therapeutic relationship with the aim of facilitating the
development of new perspectives/ confidence in working with clients labelled as
'difficult'.
