Developing Intuition & Inspiration
Facilitated by Joy Oakley
2nd October 2010
We often use our intuition without knowing it, because so much of the interaction between us and our clients can be subtle and perhaps only implied through a fleeting expression; a momentary glance and from our own inner feelings and sensations.
We want to nurture this ability to 'hear' what is hinted at, or not said or understood directly; we want to learn to be open to our client on all levels. This has been called 'listening with the third ear', Rogers called it 'intuitive sensing', Freud called it 'free floating attention'.
You may already have thought about how you use your 'gut feelings'. your instincts, your hunches- this is your intuition, and it is vital to learn to trust our intuition in order to deepen our clients' explorations. In this workshop we will explore these exciting and sometimes neglected concepts in depth using imagery, metaphor and other creative methods to help us.
